I went to see this old derelict building in Aalborg, Denmark yesterday. It is on the harbour, worn, full of graffiti and sligthly spooky. A brilliant building though, will be going there very soon indeed.

In Danish ER means, be! as in to be. Which is why I have these letters on my officewall.

Got them about 10 years ago, flirting with the guy on the scaffolding surrounding an old building.

Unfortunately he could only reach these two, but delighted I way -and still am.

Originally they were white and rusty, but blue seemed more appropriate.

I went to see a flat today, and a nice experience indeed!
Built in the 1930's, in the funkis style. Old but beautifully kept, wooden floors, wallpaper, retro bathroom and lots of rooms.

which is a webshop, with the most wonderful things for the home. I love the postcards on this first pic, they are so cool and sophisticated.

They have good stuff from House Doctor, Nordal, vintage furniture, artwork to die for and much more, so check it out.

Yesterday I received the perfect present!!! From the wonderful people at AVV, www.oplevelsermedaffald.dk. Check it out.....wrapped in beautiful vintage fabric, using an old elictrical cord as ribbon. Inside was 3 old tins filled with goodies.....love it!

Having lived in London for many years, it is always a pleasure going back to enjoy some of that big city vibe.

The last two times I was there I have been stocking up on clothes, and I am not talking high street stuff.

No, I came across Enienay at Spitalfields Traders market, which is on every Sunday.

Nina is the name of the creative lady who creates these wonderful vintagepieces, using suits, ties, shirts and much more. All the things I have bought from Enienay, fit like a glove and are so feminine and brilliant. Especially the skirt, which I have worn pretty much non stop since i bought it.

You may recall that I mentioned our new livingroom a while ago, and I did promise pics of it but there has been none as yet. The fact is tha we have been waiting for a sofa for 10 very long weeks, and until that arrives there is really not much to show you. Apart from this ladder that the painter had with her when she was here, had to take a picture of it....have a great weekend.

Was I happy yesterday when my load of PUKKA tea arrived, working my way though the boxes and it is splendid! Never learned that coffee drinking stuff, so this is like heaven.

Which is Danish, and has a lot of Green Gate, Pip Studio and so on. Will get back to them at a later point......but check it out, be aware you might just fall in love with some of the wonderful things.

My son Luca is a great fan of collecting sticks and leaving them lying around the house. His mother obviously does not want to make him sad, so thought of a way to keep everyone happy.

Putting them in a nice vase, makes them look nice and everytime he needs a new stick - he just collects one from the vase. Win win, have a great weekend.

I went away for a week, which is why it has been quiet here on my blog.
First a few days in London last weekend, enjoying the London Design Festival, the city that I love and my great friends!
Then home for a day, and of to Nice, France for 3 days - that was a surprise trip planned for my husband. There was sun, wine and good times indeed!
Good to be home again though, and digest all the brilliant things I have seen......enjoy the little tour!

Had a workshop last night with lots of creative ladies, brilliant evening indeed. We were talking about the concept of people putting pairs of two together all the time. For example two candlesticks or two little plants. I have never understood that particular concept, so this is a picture of what is in my windowsill. Or was a few weeks ago, because I can not stop moving things around. Love it!!!

Whenever I have to do rooms up in our own house, it is always more difficult to chose colours ,than when I do it for clients. But stuck with the initial idea with blue, cream and retro wallpaper from Ferm. It is being put right now, and I am so looking forward to this evening - the perfect livingroom for my family and I.

The other weekend i went to check out DOK#1 design market in Aalborg, Denmark.I am so grateful that there are events like these around here, it is important with some creativity. I really do miss that from the days in London. Anyways here are a few of the best bits......www.dok1.dk

Had to get a mug for myself, a pure joy to look at and use.

If you are looking for intelligent games for the kids, look no further. Mymo was there, keeping adults and kids active. Bought one of the games for the house, and we have played it lots of times.....try it out.

I have for a long time had this idea of a long denim skirt, and now is the time to start the process. The sewing machine is in position and I have gathered all denim in the house, looking forward to the result...........keep you posted!

In my hometown of Aalborg, Denmark, there is this one shop that sell great vintage stuff. Clothes mostly, but furniture aswell. On Saturday they had a cool event in the yard with chilled music and lots of nice stuff.

Got myself a perfect dress, a top and a skirt! Was there with the kids, so bought them a piece of cake each from the little cafe - a good concept indeed!
